Feathered Border notes, lace sampler

started with 1.5 mm circs., edging from back issue of Anna, Burda

Heirloom Knitting
(2004 edition), Feathered Border. Feb 25/08,

Chart 2, (over 78 st pattern rpt on 2.5 mm circs,) changes;

Row 87 & 88 - center 2 ‘dots’ = 2 (or k2); (ie do not inc again, followup of the dbl-dot-inc in Row 86)
Row 92 - add a YO (inc) after (to the right of) center \ (dec);
Row 129 - add a YO (inc) before (to the right of) center \ (dec).

Chart 3 changes;

Row 141 - at the 3 diamond shapes, used \o..o/ for o…o ie add decs on each side of this sequence;
Row 149 - changed stitch count 11 to 10 and added a / (k2tog dec) along the right edge of the large diamond shape;
Rows 158-162 left of the V-shape there’s a cluster of stitch numbers that are short 1 st each, ie where the st counts are 8,6,6,5,5 I used 9,7,7,6,6 stitches respectively; (2.0 mm circs from Row 174 to end.)

Rosentischdecke finished

33 1/2" blocked.

There's no designer mentioned in either issue below.

- 80 cm 1,5 mm circs
- size 11 steel crochet hook
- size 30 crochet cotton

- on the cover of Lavori Artistici a Calza 11. For 98 cm Diameter, suggested; thread, Cordonnet? 30; needles, 2.0 mm circulars; hook 1.0 mm.

- also in Neue Mode 5207 (Special Edition Program 1987. 5207/01, pg 3, oop - eBay.) For 98-100 cm Diameter, suggested; thread, 200g Liana 20; needles, 50 cm and 100 cm 2,5 mm circulars; hook, 1,75 mm
- there are 10+ consecutive rows of mesh stitches that are very tedious to do.
- knitting/crocheting finished Fe 07; Fe 08 - 27 1/2" before blocking, potato starched
- no binding in this pattern - the opposite occurs where the stitch counts increase/decrease rapidly in subsequent rows of the floral designs ie puckering.
